Welcome MADE Hotel and Ferris to NoMad

made hotel nomad nyc

The sheer volume of new hotels and restaurants in NoMad has continued to pick up speed this fall — and it can be hard to keep up with all the new additions!

If you haven’t already heard, MADE hotel opened its doors last September at the corner of 29th Street and Broadway. As High Snobiety reported, MADE is the very first hotel from developer Sam Gelin (founder of Craft Hospitality Group).

Like a number of recent hotels in NoMad, MADE Hotel emphasizes design and experience for its guests. For the modern and artistic design elements like handwoven fabrics, raw-bronze shelving and stainless-steel mirrors, the Los Angeles design firm studio MAI conceived the vision for the guest rooms and common areas. Adding some local flavor, an elaborate stairwell mural was also commissioned for Brooklyn artist Bill Rebholz. The hotel also features a coffee shop and lobby bar (cheekily named Good Behavior) for mingling with other guests, as well as a rooftop with incredible views of the city.

As reported by Grub Street, the restaurant located within MADE Hotel, Ferris, also opened to the public. The menu, featuring New American offerings like Ibérico pork collar with black bean sauce and duck breast with charred eggplant jam, is helmed by Chef Greg Proechel. An alum of the famous Eleven Madison Park in NoMad as well as the beloved Le Turtle downtown, we are happy to add Proechel’s name to the impressive list of chefs in NoMad.

Be sure to explore the lobby of MADE Hotel and grab your next dinner at Ferris! There’s always something new to explore in NoMad.
