VERTS was founded in 2011 by two millennials that wanted to bring the popular Mediterranean food of Europe (chef-inspired pitas, bowls and salads) to the U.S. The founders, Michael Heyne and Dominik Stein, launched the first location in Austin, Texas and found immediate success with the philosophy of providing customers with savory and healthy offerings made every day from scratch.
